Everything is Going to Be Fine, But Different

Everything is Going to Be Fine, But Different

Hello San Carlos, Mexico, and the world. I hope this message finds you healthy and safe.

Today is May 7, 2020. At this time we are all still living day by day. Waiting for testing, data, regulations, and procedures so we can all go back to business as usual. Each of us small businesses have had our own experiences trying to survive, but we are all finally understanding that there is no going back to business as usual. The only thing a small business can do now is adjust to the circumstances, or close the doors.

We, at International Computer Solutions (ICS) have been fortunate. The self-isolation quarantine here in Sonora, Mexico over the last several weeks (as requested by the state government to combat the coronavirus,) has required us to change our workstyle in a way that we have successfully accommodated. We made changes in our interactions with our customers to assure that our business remains open. We have new office hours and we require appointments. We are doing more remote services, and we are doing a pick up and drop off service for repairs. By providing these services we are able to social- distance helping to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Some of these things we didn’t need to change. We have always operated as a virtual office and collaborated from a distance. I’ve worked summers from Alaska for over 20 years. Now we are using these same methodologies to collaborate with our customers from a distance in their virtual offices. This has always allowed our office to remain open throughout the summer. This summer will be no different, except for I, Scott, will be here in San Carlos for the indefinite duration.

This is working for us, and may continue to be standard operating procedure for the foreseeable future.

Things are progressing slowly in the covid19 world. This leaves us with little to no instructions on how to begin to reopen our communities. We are beginning to see what we need to do to maintain our businesses, but we are still working out the details how to go forward.

At ICS we appreciate your patience as we continue to give you the best possible customer support, while adjusting to the ever-changing situation.

Thank you being our customers, our friends, and our family.

Sincerely,

Scott, Yuya, and Sonny (a.k.a., International Computer Solutions)
